This large cottage has four main bedrooms (large master or family room, two doubles and one twin).  Each room has been designed to an individual theme and style, to bring and add extra character to your stay.

Master Bedroom/Family Room – ‘French cottage room’
This large room has a romantic feel with its dark purple walls and reflective scenic green, to bring the outside in. With its 6ft bed, this boudoir is ready for you to have a great night’s sleep and a fantastic room to awaken to the most amazing views over the River Dee and beyond. The room features a centre piece fireplace, and a day bed for extra sleeping capacity.  The room is also an ideal spot for a quite sit, read and take in the landscape picture view.

Double bedroom – ‘Victorian Garden room’
A warm and cosy but amazingly light room with full length doors to daffodil hill and the Berwyn Mountains.  With its Victorian brass bed and industrial chic furniture it’s a delight to sleep and awake in.

Twin bedroom – ‘Austin Powers room’
A cosy, cool, edgy room great for kids and couples alike, with psychedelic art, large sheepskin rug and crazy flip top chair for extra sleeping.

Downstairs double bedroom – ‘feng shui garden room’
Designed for you to awake to the new days sky and nature. This gentle and modern room is crisp and light with large glass sliding doors that let the outside in.

It also provides additional beds that will allow for parties of up to 10, making this the perfect destination for a large family Christmas or summer holiday with friends. Cae Crwn has been decorated to a beautiful standard whilst retaining it charm and character. The fine art which covers the walls has been especially painted and designed for Cae Crwn and can be purchased as a memory of your stay.

The main house has a 26’ x 15’ lounge with big open fireplace, a huge country kitchen 30’ x 13’ with large oil-fired Aga with an adjoining a conservatory 18’6 x 10’8 great for muddy boots and wet dogs.  The cottage features a shower room downstairs, and large family bathroom with double shower upstairs. There are also a range of outbuildings to explore. Plus not forgetting, Cae Crwn boasts its own fresh welsh water well, which is pumped into the house ready for you to bathe.

Please note that mains water supply is only to the kitchen.

After the initial basket and scuttle of fuel - Wood is £5 per basket and Coal is £3 per scuttle and the honesty box can be found under the information pigeon holes.

Guests Goodies
Complimentary fresh flowers and a welcome basket will be prepared for guests staying for a week or more. And a small welcome pack will be left for short stays and visits.  Some basic food stock will be left for you and if you have any special requests, i.e. Turkey for Christmas, we can organise this for you.

Christmas Guests
A large, real Christmas tree complete with lights and decorations will be installed ready for your stay.  All you need do is bring your wrapped presents to lay underneath the tree, or a few bottles of bubbly to toast the New Year!

Essentials Kit
We do try to supply and think of everything and give you that home from home experience but you will need wellies or walking boots and torches (to find your way home from the pub).  This is Wales and where frilly frocks and wellies are all the rage!  In fact they’re just the fashion accessory ‘must have!’  We will provide a selection of the above, but it is best to bring your own as we may not have your size.

Canine Friends
You are welcome to bring your well behaved dogs, but please note that Cae Crwn has its own year round resident animals so please don’t let Fido or Fifi disturb or chase the residents.  Also during lambing season, extra care should be taken.

Please bring a lead.

Bowls, towels and blankets will be left for your convenience.

A supplement of £20 per dog will be charged per week and short break.

Dog walks and The Berwyn Mountains
My dog’s favourite walk is straight up the hill to the green gate, up a little further and turn a gentle right alongside the dry stone wall. Keep going, whilst enjoying the beautiful views, then drop down to a gate and forest road were you will find the Cynwyd reservoir and waterfalls for picnicking, enjoying, and dog swimming. Alternatively, if you don’t wish to walk from door to water, you can drive to this lovely spot. Just drive into Cynwyd and turn left into ‘Waterfall Lane’ just after ‘The Blue Lion’ and opposite ‘Prince of Wales’ pubs. Keep going and the forest will appear, take the right fork, park and enjoy.
There are other lovely dog friendly walks around ‘Bala Lake’ and ‘Llyn Vyrnwy Lake/Reservoir’.
